I've got a new release of Gourmet 0.11.4 with quite a long change log.
The highlights include better printing on Windows (no more wxWindows
as a dependency! Now we require reportlab instead and use PDF export +
a call to w32api to print it). There are also a number of patches
improving import from Phil Goembel.
This release has quite a number of bugfixes, including several for
windows -- the issue with window-placement has been resolved, images
seem to work consistently, etc. I've also automated much more testing
which is a big improvement for development speed.
The one hang-up: freezing. After fixing a number of windows bugs, I
got tired out trying to get it to freeze properly into an executable.
I believe this is something relatively straightforward--it just needs
someone to put a bit of time in. I spend a day on Windows and that was
all I could take, so if anyone wants to take up the challenge, please
do! I'm more than happy to help out.
There are good build instructions on the gourmet webpage -- the things
that have changed since those are that wxWindows is no longer
necessary and reportlab now is.
