Development GraphicsMagick 1.1 now supports simple arithmetic and
bitwise operators, which may be applied to a specified image channel,
or all channels. There are available via the QuantumOperatorImage()
and QuantumOperatorRegionImage() functions. These functions already
accessible via Magick++.
The operation is quite simple in that it is just a way of
accessing C operators, with bounds-checking.
In C an operation might look like
lvalue += rvalue;
For these operations, the existing pixel quantum is the lvalue, and
the operator and rvalue are user supplied.
I am trying to determine the ideal command line syntax so that convert
and mogrify can provide access.
The syntax will look something like
-command channel operator rvalue
where "-command" represents a command name which has not been decided
yet. I need your recommendation as to the best command name to use
for this functionality.
