Hallow developers!
i downloaded sources v1.3.17 and make them with Perl 5.14.2
and it reports "undefined simbol: InitializeMagick" for Magick.so binary
such a bug alredy was resolved there https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6561
and looks it rise again

  • It is not clear if this is a GraphicsMagick bug. The link you refer to is a Linux distribution page. Did your build procedure first configure, build, and install GraphicsMagick before proceeding to configure, build, and install PerlMagick? When PerlMagick was configured, was there a report that some libraries could not be found?. Both GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick install a PerlMagick 'Magick.so' but one is installed as Graphics::Magick and the other is installed as Image::Magick.

     
  • This seems like a distribution-specific build problem and not specific to GraphicsMagick itself.
