[Gramps-devel] latin characters in PDF and PostScript

Thanks to some clues sent by Bernd Hahnebach, I've been able to add
iso-8859-1 support to the PostScript document generator. After doing a
bit more poking around, I was able to figure out how to get the
ReportLab PDF generation to use iso-8859-1 characters as well. These
enhancements will be incorporated into the 1.0 release.

For other character sets (iso-8859-2, koi8-r, etc.), the path is still
to generate an OpenOffice document, and then either print to a file to
create a PostScript document, or Save as PDF (OpenOffice 1.1) to create
a PDF.

Eventually, we will switch to using gnome-print, which will handle
unicode characters.
