On 26 May 2003, Don Allingham had this to say: >With the latests Makefile changes, I can no longer build an RPM. > >$ rpmbuild gramps.spec error: line 6: Unknown tag: >CFLAGS="${CFLAGS:--O2 -g -march=i386 -mcpu=i686}" ; export CFLAGS ; Hi Don, What version of rpm do you have installed? I have rpm-4.2-0.69 and rpm-build-4.2-0.69. The rpmbuild command works fine for me either way (rpmbuild -tb gramps.tgz or rpmbuild gramps.spec). I'm not sure what the line 6 would be referring to. However, I do have two suspicions: one is the "--O2" rather than "-O2" in that line. I wonder if that is creeping in through the %configure directive, which includes the MYCFLAGS environment variable. Could you check that you don't have that set before building? Or see if it has the wrong syntax? Cheers, -Don ________________________________________________ Donald A. Peterson | dpe...@si...
