For example, try copying some file (say, ~/.bashrc) into your=20 database directory: $ cp ~/.bashrc my_database_dir If that goes without problems, then try to see if youd data.gramps file=20 is for some reason read-only: $ cd my_database_dir $ ls -l data.gramps You should see something like this: -rw-r--r-- 1 shura shura 760658 Jan 18 01:16 data.gramps That is, it should be owned by you (your username instead of "shura")=20 and it should have -rw in the beginning of the permission bits. Let me know what you get, and we go from there.
