Chris, I'm not quite sure if your note is attached to a source or an event reference. If your note is a source note, the references tab will show the source that it is attached to. Other objects, such as events, can use this source but the note will only be directly attached to the source. If your note is an event reference note, the references tab will show the person that it is attached to. The person is the primary object that contains the event reference. In this case, you will have to edit each event for the person to find the event reference. I don't think that there is an easier way to find the correct event. Entering a Note ID into the ID field of the person filter will not return any records, hence the "Active object not visible" message. The view will then return to the active person. I think that you were just lucky that this was the person you were interested in. You are correct that it is easier to find notes attached to primary objects. It could be that we need a couple of extra event filters: "Events with event references having a note ID of <Note ID>" "Events with event references having an attribute of <attribute key>" Is this the problem you were having, or have I misunderstood your question? Regards, Nick. Chriss4 wrote: > Hi all Grampers > > Today I was trying to tidy up notes on files in the "notes" tab and > discovered a note with no 'Preview'.
