I think you can obtain 2.2.10 version from Debian Lenny without dependency problems. Please do so of possible, many bugs are fixed. You see a number in the bottom right corner of the views indicating how many instances there are, eg 45/45. If you activate filter view and eg filter on all Hechelhammer; you will see it update to eg 5/45 However, exporting to a gedcom-file and importing sorts the fam-IDs, but > not the ind-IDs. > > Any other ideas? you can export to .gramps; untar the xml file in it, and then do a search all or so to count to.
