I have a merchant in my tree who took frequent international journeys, helpfully taking his family with him and staying with other members of the family. So, both the origin and destination of these journeys is important to me. Ideally, I'd like to record the journey as one event associated with two places. What is the best way of doing this in Gramps, please? David Lynch |

This situation sounds very much like a "relationship", but is a "trip". Perhaps the idea of tying together related events (GEPS #1) could be expanded to include this usage. To fit it into Gramps today, and be able to adapt in the future, I think you want to keep these as two events (with possible stop-overs as additional events). That way you can have dates and places associated with each one. -Doug > David Lynch > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint > What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone? > Visit sprint.com/first -- http://p.sf.net/sfu/sprint-com-first > _______________________________________________ > Gramps-users mailing list > Gra...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users > |
