I'd like to put this up as a feature request for discussion:
Can the address of a repository be turned into a proper Place?
At the moment it's neither fish nor flesh; it doesn't permit
the location editing you get with Place and specification of
lat/long; neither does it turn up together with other
addresses in a search.
Also there are various types of repository, e.g album,
archive, collection, library (to take some pre-defined ones
from gramps) that are often found together at the same
address - a fine country house, a national institution - and
should logically be sharing one location, not the same
independent address repeated over and over.
And if one of these is moved, say, Mr. X's private library
from a country house to the British Library, it should be
able to change to another location and share with a
different set of repositories.
It seems to me inconsistent to treat the repository address
different from all other addresses. I think it's muddling
the logical properties of a repository with those of a
(usually) physical geographical location - something which
is only housed *at* a Place with something which *is* a Place.
