The GRAMPS project is pleased to announce the new release of the Linux Genealogy CD 3.0. This disk is based on the recent Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) and features latest release of GRAMPS 2.2.7, as well as other genealogy software: GeneWeb and LifeLines. The disk can be used *both* as a Live Session CD, and as the installation disk to install Ubuntu and genealogy software permanently on your hard drive (if you so wish). More details are here: http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=3DLinux_Genealogy_CD At the moment, torrent should be the easiest way to get the CD. If you are using bittorrent, please consider leaving your client on after you downloaded, so that other people can benefit from your seeding. If you can't use the torrent, there's centralized hosting at http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/gramps/ And if you don't have the bandwidth for any download, you can purchase physical disks and have them delivered by mail to you, from either: http://www.cdfhs-aus.com/catalog/index.php (Australia) or http://store.roitman.org/ (USA) --=20 Alexander Roitman http://www.gramps-project.org |
