Uwe,

Stefan rewrote the German relationship module for version 3.0.x . Please contact him to know if he has the time and desire to look into the issues you raise.

Hi,

I am using
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gramps/gramps_3.0.4-1_Ubuntu804.deb?modtime=1228530730&big_mirror=0
in German.

Sorry, but I don't think rel_de.py is working correctly.

The are two main problems:

1. Neffen, Nichten, Onkel, Tanten (nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts) are
always described as Halbneffe, Halbnichte (half-nephews, half-nieces) etc.
Even if two siblings have a common child, this child is still tagged as
half-uncle of his father.

2. Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law are not recognized. They are aways
described as having no relationship. Moreover, there seems to be no
implementation at all for the recognition of sisters-in-law.

I have no coding experience in python and I cannot rule out the possibility
that the error lies somewhre outside of that module.

If you like to give my some guidance for further testing, we might work this
out.

Best regards,

Uwe
