You lost connection to the database on import of a gpkg file
Is it possible the grdb you import into has been moved? Grdb files are not portable, see

If possible, do the following:
1/backup your data by exporting to a .gramps xml file (this is portable, .grdb files _not_ )
2/upgrade to version3.0.0, you find an ubuntu package on our website:
3/import your .gramps backup file in an empty database
4/in the tools menu, run the rebuild reference table tool, then the rebuild sec index tool, then the check and repair tool.

Can you now reproduce the error? Hope all is solved with above steps.
