Effectively, for the geography persons view, filters are on persons and this has no effect
because the geography view for person is only for the active person. it's the same for 4.x.

So, you can only view all events for this person if those events have places with coordinates.

It's exactly the same for families.

It is actually impossible to do what you want.
The only view which could do that is the places view. The problem is the filtering.

I am only able to filters places on this view. People filtering is actually impossible on this view.

But, to filter on people in the people view, you could combine with a filter People with events with place ...
If such a filter does not exist yet, it would be easy to implement.
So, from People, you could filter on place in the event.

The problem is for all views. Filtering is dependent on the type of the view ( people, family, places, ... )
So you can't filter on people and family or people and places.
perhaps I'm wrong but I never succeed on this kind of filtering.

I send this to the dev list. Perhaps someone can confirm this.
