Sorry guys! It's 32 bit Linux, Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Precise Pangolin.

I use the Ubuntu Software Centre for updates etc. and they still seem to be distributing Gramps 3.3.1-1 so I hadn't realised I was behind with the version.

I've backed up and I'm DL'ing the latest version from Sourceforge now (but it looks like it'll take about half an hour!) I'll see if that fixes it.
