As a non technical user of  genealogy software I have been looking for an application to run on my IMac which can replace the windows package I currently use (Family Tree Maker) The only reason I stick with the Windows thing is that it links with the Ancestry.com database.  This allows me to search the database and import any required records directly into my family database.  All of the Mac software I have seen  forces one to browse the database then do a manual transfer of data which is tedious and prone to errors. Is there any reason why GRAMPS does not/cannot provide such a link?  Maybe by providing  a way of coupling to a browser window... is that possible or am I being a non tekkie simpleton?
