I don't understand why it has to be that much extra work. One of my friends is using a Windows program (don't remember which program) that does what it calls (I Think) an Individual Report, which includes the Events, parents, spouses, and children of each person, notes and attached jpegs.

Is there a way to do a Text Report like the Detailed Descendant Report that
picks up everyone in the database? The Detailed Descendant Report requires a
"Home Person" be selected and then only picks up descendants of that person.

It would be hard to have some order in what you propose. The following
is possible:

--> an individual detailed report, with filter on all the people in
the database. You would see the children, but then need to go to the
page of child to continue

--> a book report where you combine descendant reports of several
'root' people of your database into one report. You could however just
as well export to eg odt format, and then copy/paste several of those
reports together.
