First of all, I'm not a computer wizard. When I open a trk file in wordpad or notebook, I see something that looks like this; @$^(*! and a lot of squares, there is absolutly nothing that looks like a coordinate or name or timestamp. I have put the files on my website at http://www.xs4all.nl/~jacobbax/gps/psigar/ Maybe someone can convert this into a .gpx file or a file that I can open in oziexplorer, or can advise a program so I can do it myself. Psigar is a Psion pda program that can download/upload tracks, routes and waypoints from or to a garmin gps, in my case it was a GPS12 and a Psion 5MX. I used it to backup my tracks from a trip to Australia. At home you can then put them back to the gps and load them in to oziexplorer or easygps, and maybe in other programs but those were the only two I had at that time. Somehow I lost the ozie tracks but the psigar files were still on the psion when it burned out, and in the psionbackup on my pc. I tried to contact the maker of psigar but got no reaction. on the gpsinformation forum they pointed me to this mailinglist. So maybe someone can help me |
