Message-ID: <200...@ho...> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" I'm trying to create Garmin POI files for use with a Nuvi 660. I'm using the recent 3.5 beta. The garmin_gpi format seems to be working great (although it would be nice to know the units in which proximity is measured). However, the gpx format is overwriting my <desc> field with one of the Groundspeak extension fields instead. I don't like this behavior and don't think that a <desc> field should be discarded if present. I attach a one-waypoint gpx file that demonstrates the problem; just run with -i gpx -o gpx. Workaround welcome. There is a playground that looks like it is being re-done a bit. I will change this when I see it is up & running again. There are picnic tables & benches all around, so in warm weather the MUGGLE FACTOR will be huge.
