I am trying to find out, whether the
new globalsat DG-100 data logger would work under linux.
In a recent test,
it performed very well
(and, for example, better than the wintec WBT-100/WBT-200)
as it is based on the SiRF Star III chipset.
The device has a prolific USB connection, so
I would be optimistic that it is detected properly under
linux with a (modestly) recent kernel.
As it supports NMEA, using it as a GPS USB mouse
might work pretty straight-forward.
However, how to access the data of a stored log?
Does anyone here already have experience with this device?
