I tried to convert a simple KML waypoint file toward some formats, like
GPX, Magellan SD files, csv, but nothing results.
I use GPSBabel v1.3.4 on a Windows XP, through GPSBabelGUI-2 :
gpsbabel.exe -p "" -w -i google -f "C:\...\GrandSanti_POI.kml" -o csv -F
The input file (GrandSanti_POI.kml) is the following :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Snippet>Created 12/01/07 17:23:14</Snippet>

... some style definition, including waypoints ...

GPX result file is a header without any waypoint, csv and Magellen are

Your paraphrased file isn't a "google" file; it's a "kml" file. Please
Replace the -i google with -i kml and your happy factor should increase.
