I am trying to devise a way to filter a large file of waypoints to only
those waypoints that have proximity to an arc. This, I know, is easy.
However, what I would actually like to do is filter to more than one
arc or maybe to a branched arc.
So far, the best solution seems to be to filter to each individual arc
and then combine the resulting files into one big file. But I was
wondering if there was a more efficient solution.
Perhaps if I explain what I am trying to do it will make more sense: I
have a bunch of waypoints that represent the locations of stations on
Chicago's 'L' rail lines. As I am planning to sell my car I thought it
would be interesting to turn these waypoints into arc files and then
filter a gc.com PQ file by the arcs to give me a list of geocaches that
are within easy reach of the L. What would be best would be to make the
entire system into one huge arc file, but I think that that would be
difficult, so instead I am thinking of making each line into an arc and
applying all the resulting arcs to the same file.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
