I have been successfully using the 1.2.8 beta 20060209 of GPSBabel for
translating Delorme Topo USA .an1 draw files to .kml format for use with
GoogleEarth. Unfortunately with the 1.3 release there now is a breakdown =
Draw file (.an1) records in DeLorme Topo USA 5.0 and 6.0 include two =
fields. =93Label=94 and =93URL=94. The 1.2.8 beta correctly translated =
fields into the separate corresponding fields =93Name=94 and =
the .kml /GoogleEarth file.=20
The desired result is that in GoogleEarth only the =93Name=94 field is =
on screen and the URL contained in the =93Description=94 field works as =
Unfortunately the 1.3 release erroneously combines both the Label and =
fields into the single =93Name=94 field in the .kml file and leaves the
=93Description=94 field empty.=20
This causes the contents of both fields to be displayed on screen in
GoogleEarth. Not at all good with multiple waypoints and full length =
string URLs (e.g., Waypoint
Name#URLhttp://www.domain.com/blahblah/blah/blahblahblah.html ) =93all =
the map=94. The result is an extremely cluttered GoogleEarth screen and =
loss of hyper-linking functionality.=20
So I hope this bug can be corrected in the next release.
Thanks very much for your attention to this matter.

This'll probably be some combination of Ron and myself.
