I created a version of 1.3.6 with your patch and I can confirm that the
Polaris TravelHoney work in USB mode as well as in BT mode on a Linux
BUT.... be careful with the setting of the dlbaud parameter. Anything
else than 9600 seems to switch the device into a mode from which you can
only escape if you switch it off and on again (aka poor-mans-reset).
Blueetooth also seems to need lots of retries, I varied read-at-once
from 1 to 32 (in steps of 2^n), but this did not give me considerable
I compared the time to download my 46 trackpoints (havn't had time to
get more since I got the device :-( ) with download time of 5 secs for
skytraq-datalogger and 47secs for gpsbabel.
