I've just committed two small changes. The first is a patch to Robert's
tiger fix from this morning; it had a compile error with gcc under Linux,
due to a declaration that wasn't at the top of a block.
The other fix is for a segfault that would happen if you ran gpsbabel
with invalid arguments, such as "gpsbabel --help" or "gpsbabel /?" or
the less-likely "gpsbabel foo". We were assuming that ivecs just HAD
to be initialized (as it would be in the case of "gpsbabel -i gpx foo.gpx")
and so we were crashing trying to dereference the null pointer. I
chose to make this case display the usage, since it's most likely to
happen in the two "tell me the right syntax" cases above.
Robert, your alias for gpsbabel-code says "GPSBabel Misc List". Isn't

Thanx for the fixes. Since I use C99 in my day job and GCC 3.2 on Linux
allows this C99 extension, I didn't catch it.

Bummer. I had my aliases swapped. I fixed that, too.
