I'm not sure if this is the right list for this request... But here it
MS Streets and Trips could use its own file type.
It can import CVS files.
Here's how I'd format the output file:
First line, have the data types:
Name Name 2 Latitude Longitude
GC# Cache Name
Cache Type Hyperlink with the text "cache details"
I'd be willing to "Beta" it to see if it works right with MS Streets and
I'm running winXP so I'd need a compiled exe. If you want to send one
to me to test, please zip it first.

This is where the programmers are, so it's fine.

Yes, it probably could. What it's lacking is someone with S&T that's
motivated to do the work. :-)

I've put a temporary moriatorium on CSV mutants. Alex and I have a
design that makes adding CSV strains easier. He's sent me a protototype
implementation that I still need to review and act on. I just haven't
gotten to it yet. When that is in place (a low number of days) I'll
warm up to opening the floodgates to CSV variants. But this is a
quite reasonable request for 1.1.1 or something...

There isn't enough precision in this description to program to. Could
you please hand-craft a couple of lines showing us exactly what S&T will
munch? (Bonus points can be earned for actually verifying that S&S will
do it.) Let me start the speculation that it's looking for lines like
GC317A, "GittyUp by JoGPS", 36.057500, -86.892000, "Traditional Cache", http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=12666
Feel free (encouraged, in fact) to use Geocaches as references. :-)
If this is the case, it'd be a pretty mechanical thing to grind out; I'm
just stalling until we have a better infrastructure in place for it.

I've just put the body of this text in the feature request tracker at
sourceforget so we don't lose the details:
