I am trying to understand what the impact of recent space-track.org
changes on the gpredict community.
Space-track.org, the US goverment site that provides TLE, has just
announced a new beta program for downloading TLE's. The changes go
away from offering bulk TLE downloads and uses instead a REST API for
downloading TLE's. It also supports downloading catalog information
such as decay dates through this interface as well as.
For those who use the existing bulk downloads from space-track, these
will be eliminated.
Are there many users of space-track data with gpredict? Is this data
readily available to folks outside the US? From the AMSAT-BB list is
appears that several non-US folks have accounts.
