Just updated to 2.5.2 (funny, it was pushed live today!)to see if it was a bug with the 2.5.1. Installed/ Running with Homebrew. Log attached.
Tried running it with Canon 5dMkII and MkIII and both worked.
Gphoto2 identifies the 5200 and shows the port, however when I attempt capture, it times out.
I pulled the following out of the log.
36.643332 context(0): An error occurred in the io-library ('Unspecified error'): No error description available
I'd be curious if anyone has had sucuss with the D5200
check if you are using the gnome gvfs gphoto2 slave, which will block access
(my d7000 is working fine ;)
Thanks for the super quick response, Marcus. We're not using the gnome gvfs gphoto2 slave.. I forgot to mention we're on mac using terminal. We killed the PTPCamera process that does block access and have verified that PTPCamera is not running. Any thoughts?
By the way, this is great (nikon woes aside). If we get this up and running, this may be our best shot at controlling multiple D5200s, so I'm psyched gphoto2 exists. Thanks!
lost track of this, sorry. hope its working somehow.
