Anyone who has a camera supported by libgphoto2/camlibs/digigr8, please test this program. I think you will like the results, but it does need testing before I put it into the processing routines in libgphoto2/camlibs/digigr8. To obtain the raw converter, go to the SVN tree of gphoto and get the directory gphoto/trunk/playground/raw_converters/sq_raw_converter. Then do "make" and put the resulting executable, called "show_sq_raw" into a directory with some raw files from an SQ camera (supported by camlibs/digigr8), and run it on a raw file, as in this example show_sq_raw raw_pict003.raw The raw file will be converted to a finished PPM file on the spot, which will be displayed immediately in an xterm for your close inspection and (one hopes) viewing pleasure. To close the program, close the window in which the photo is appearing. The output file will be saved, too, in the same directory where the raw file is. The name of the output file will be the same as what gphoto2 -P produces, but without a "." in the filename to avoid clobbering files obtained with gphoto2 -P. There is also a rather rudimentary script file, which will run the program consecutively on all the raw files in the given directory -- provided that these raw files start with number 001 and are consecutively numbered. Just click on "close the window" to move from one photo to the next. As I said, please test this if you have one of these cameras. For my cameras, the results are very nice. I practically did not know that the photos from these little cameras can look so nice. So please test. Theodore Kilgore |
