DASHing a file removes all edit lists, and does not regenerate an edit list after the file has been processed. For video that uses B-frames, this results in an offset between audio and video start times. It looks like ISO/IEC 14496-12:2008 Amendment 3 extends the edit box to cover fragmented files of unknown duration, and this could be used to handle the B-frame offset in the same way as non-fragmented files. Are there plans to add support for edit lists in DASH for this purpose?

GPAC uses TFDT to adjust sample decode times, and the TFDT reflects any of the empty editlist entries found (the one used for offsetting the media timeline), so that there is no need to use edit list in the dashed files.
