No

I use latest sed "27 December 2010: Sed-4.2.1: stream editor: new release"
- f1.txt has content: "123 456 789"
- I run command
sed -i s/5/x/ f1.txt
- In place edit will create backup file for example with name "sedX28X6b"
- After finishing it's not deleted

When I specify suffix with command:
sed -iTEST s/5/x/ f1.txt

I'll get two files "f1.txtTEST" and "sedevgN0d"

I am seeing this bug too.

How can I build the source? Can I build it using Visual Studio? I would try to fix it myself but I don't know where to start.

The same bug over here, backup files are not deleted.
I'm back on sed 4.1.5 which works as expected for the time now.
