When using multiplot in auto-layout mode it would be useful to have a one line command that easily "skips" a panel.

e.g. if we want to plot a 3x3 array of panels with the center panel left blank we could then do the following:
set multiplot layout 3,3
plot [] (f1(x)) with lines
plot [] (f2(x)) with lines
plot [] (f3(x)) with lines
plot [] (f4(x)) with lines
{command to skip a panel}
plot [] (f5(x)) with lines
plot [] (f6(x)) with lines
plot [] (f7(x)) with lines
plot [] (f8(x)) with lines
unset multiplot

Thanks!

    Current cvs now supports "set multiplot next" and "set multiplot previous"
