I did a lot of work using gnuplot last days that also required regular changes to the ranges. if you do that often enough you loose where you are (especially when tics are disabled). It would nice to have something like "show ranges" that gives you all the current ranges (x,y,z). this can be emulated with "show all" but this is a long list and you have to find the relevant data.

  • Something like this can already be achieved using macros. Try the following:

    set macros
    ranges = "show xrange; show yrange; show zrange"
    @ranges
