It would be useful to have the x,y coordinates
available for each multiplot in such a way that we
could make some line connection between two multiplots
using the internal coordinates of each. Example, two
plots in a multiplot. To draw a arrow between x=1,y=1
of plot 1 to x=100,y=-100 of plot 2, now it can only be
done by trial-and-error.

    Sorry - not possible.

The scaling and axis information is lost once a plot has
been drawn. There is no way to go back and figure out what
a given (x,y) coordinate might have meant in a previous
plot. And that's even before you get into the issues of
changes to size or offset commands.
