    hello
i am using gnuplot 4-4-0 , i wanna to use the lua terminal but when i wrtie set terminal lua
it told me that unknown or ambiguous terminal type; type just 'set terminal' for a list

also when i configure gnuplot it give me the following
TeX *.sty for lua/tikz terminal: no
    any body can help me

  • Your machine apparently doesn't have what it takes for gnuplot to be able to use its lua terminal.  Check the README and INSTALL files for hints, and the config.log for the detailed symptoms of 'configure's failure to find what it needed.

i have found problem in installing the lua terminal but i donot know what to do with this probem
this is what i see in config.log related to the lua terminal
2105 Package lua was not found in the pkg-config search path.
2106 Perhaps you should add the directory containing `lua.pc'
2107 to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

  • Well, those messages are pretty clear, aren't they?  Your 'pkg-config' claims you don't have lua installed.  You'll have to fix that.  Failing that, you'll have to specify to 'configure' where you've hidden your lua installation.  See all mentions of 'lua' in "./configure -help" output.
