I used this script to plot csv file into one plot with 18 lines in it. For some lines, there are used duplicated line styles which is confusing, e.g. there are 13 unique line style and then the styles are the same as for the first 5 lines. PNG output is OK and all lines have unique style.

set datafile separator ","
set title "ASCII time - Importing DP types"
set xlabel "# created types"
set ylabel "t[s]"
set xrange [:]
set yrange [:]
set terminal svg size 1280,1024
set output "types_import.svg"
set key outside
plot for [n=2:19] 'pcen33728_types_import.csv' using 1:(column(n)) with linespoints title columnhead(n)
unset output

set terminal png size 1280,1024
set output "types_import.png"
set key outside
plot for [n=2:19] 'pcen33728_types_import.csv' using 1:(column(n)) with linespoints title columnhead(n)
unset output

  • It shouldn't really surprise you that the number of different line types is finite. It just so happens that different terminal drivers support different numbers of distinct line types.

    This is no bug. Closed.
