I'm interested in calling GDL from python. I had no problems when using GDL.pro and GDL.function with intrinsic GDL routines, but I had trying to call other GDL and my own procedures: is it a limitation or I'm missing something?

    have you set !PATH ?
    There is no such limitation on the python module.

  • Apparently it works with the current CVS version of GDL:

    $ cat helloworld.pro
    pro helloworld
    print, 'Hello world!'
    end
    $ python2.6
    Python 2.6.6 (r266:84292, Nov 12 2010, 00:26:03)
    [GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)] on darwin
    Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
    >>> import GDL
    >>> GDL.pro('helloworld')
    % Compiled module: HELLOWORLD.
    Hello world!
    >>>

    If the problem persists please resubmit it.
