I'm trying to build the python module on ubuntu, but it doesn't output the libgdl.so.0.0 file that the instructions say it should. I use "./configure -enable-python_module" then "make" and the build completes with no error. However, once it is finished there is not lib.so.0.0 file in .libs (or anywhere in the source directory). Am I doing something wrong?

  • Thanks for reporting it. Could you check if that works correctly with
CMake? We plan to drop support for the autoconf-based compilation (i.e. the
configure script) after the next release.

No, the python module will not compile with CMake either. It works for the normal build though.
