When generating postscript, the image is rotated and made out of the paper margin after "device, /close" command. However, before closing the device, the generated image looks ok...

Example:
z=exp(-(shift(dist(50),25,25)/10.)^2)
set_plot, "ps"
surface, z
device, /close

I was using CVS version of gdl. Thanks

    I really hope this could be fixed, otherwise couldn't use scripts to generate multiple PS files (as not able to close the previous one). Any work around is also welcome. Thanks

  • Hi,

    Which version of plplot and which OS are you using?
    Does converting the ps file to pdf help? (e.g. using ps2pdf of epstopdf).

    Thanks,
    Sylwester

    I am using plplot 5.9.5 (from apt) from ubuntu 11.04 64 bit. Problem also appears my other ubuntu 10.10 box...

    the pstopdf does work for this example. I will try on other plots as well...
    thanks
    Kit

  • Fixed in the CVS.
    (GDL now uses pslib for fine-tuning PostScript output)
    Please test, thanks for reporting it.
