Is it possible to make gnubiff open your email program when you single click the gnome panel icon? I've made it do that on double click but it's very confusing when all other icons on the panel use single click and only Gnubiff uses double click. I always end up single clicking like with all other panel icons which leaves me staring at it like a fool wondering why nothing happend. It's driving me insane. Other then this confusing perk Gnubiff seems perfect. The best email notification applet I've found. |

Hi Tiger, You should configure gnubiff with --enable-debug option and the make/make install. Then you can start gnubiff from a terminal window. It will complain about having compiled with GNOME support but that doesn't matter. Then start gnubiff from gnome panel and you will have debug messages in the terminal window. Just send me the output (be careful that there is no password within, but it should not be the case). Hi all I've just updated gnubiff to version 2.0(debian) However I didn't know how to configure it to fit my mailbox. My mailbox is POP3+SSL. So port number should be 995. Right? account name is: ti...@ma... (not just tiger). I used the configuration above but gnubiff could not check my mailbox correctly. It stopped at "checking....." state. I downgraded it to version 1.4 and found it working well. What's the problem? I am looking forward to your replies. Thank you all. Regards TigerChen |
