#12 End of file truncated

Under Redhat 7.0 and running v1.3.1 occasionally the
end of the file I am editing gets truncated for no
particular reason. The last time removed about 50
lines from the end of a 2000 line Perl script.

This has happened on several occasions.

    To reproduce this error: Just edit, save, edit, save, ...
    until the truncation occurs. Make take a few dozen cycles
    to make it happen.
