Hi all,
I am a problem with the last version of Xiphos (compiled) : xiphos 3.1.5-gtkhtml3
When I load Xiphos, I have no content for the Bible pane ! (but all is okay for commentaries...) until I change verse.
But (important), if I disable continuous chapters layout (sorry Xiphos is translated in French so I do not have the exact expression), all is okay !
Can you reproduce it ?! Do you want a screenshot ? Do you want to know what does Xiphos say in the terminal ?
Nice work. Thanks again.

Sorry, I made a mistake, I wrote "if I disable continuous chapters layout (sorry Xiphos is translated in French so I do not have the exact expression), all is okay !" but I wanted to say : "if I enable continuous chapters layout (sorry Xiphos is translated in French so I do not have the exact expression), all is okay !" (enable and NOT disable this feature to fix this !)

Moreover, "all is okay" means that if I restart Xiphos, Xiphos manages to show the Bible pane fined (contrary to when I disabled the feature).

Moreover, I have an other very annoying problem (maybe related to this) : it could not see all Psalms !!
For example, I could not see Psalms 8, 9, 11, 17 etc (in the KJV for instance) ! but for Ps.1-7, 10 etc, it works !!
    But (with Ps.8 for example)
when my mouse is over notes (that I don't see !! such as content of the current Psalm !), I can see the notes in the preview pane
if I select the text (which I don't see), the text appears but only in the selection...
    * if I resize commentary/dictionnay panel, the content of the chapter (here Psalm) appears !!
    Very strange behaviours !!
I use xiphos 3.1.5-gtkhtml3 (compiled just a hour ago) on Ubuntu 11.04 (update).

  • mostly what i would like to suggest is that you go to this page:
    http://xiphos.org/download/debian-ubuntu/
uninstall the gtkhtml3 version you have now, and install what is available via that mechanism. you will get a proper webkit build; gtkhtml3's life as a display engine for xiphos is at an end.
