LUKS (Linux Unified Key Setup) is a feature that has been integrated to both the Linux Kernel and Gnome & KDE a while ago.
When LUKS/Dm-crypt encrypted removable media is inserted, Gnome/KDE display a popup window asking for the password to open the device.
Many people are now using this, to encrypt both USB media and also home and data partitions, and some people even encrypt the whole filesystem and swap.
Now when backing up the system, to maintain end-to-end security, it is required that the backups in optical media be encrypted to. I read about some low-level scripts that can generate an encrypted .iso, that can then be burned.
This is my request to have LUKS support added to GnomeBaker for on-the-fly Data DVD or Data CD encryption.
