When a stable release of GLEW is ready, a svn copy of https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/trunk/glew/ stored as (for example) https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/tags/glew-1.5.5 would be a nice addition.
Then it's possible to use svn:externals and point to that tag and check out my own code+dependencies with one command and do more things automatic.
This seemed to work:
svn copy -r 611 https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/trunk https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/tags/glew-1.5.5 -m "Create glew-1.5.5 tag for GLEW 1.5.5 release"
Next time around I ought to document the release process... :-)
svn copy -m "Create glew-1.5.6 tag for GLEW 1.5.6 release" https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/trunk/glew https://glew.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glew/tags/glew-1.5.6
The svn repository has been converted to git.
I've tagged the GLEW releases from 1.5.0 up to 1.5.7.
