Please break up your comments for each .rc file that contains the long copyright string. For Visual Studio 2012, it gave me a string literal too long error, so I had to break it up myself.

Just out of curiosity, was that for the release version of Visual Studio 2012?
    Or a beta?

Visual Studio makes me cry, from time to time, :-(

I ran into the same problem. Simple fix was to break it up into multiple lines at every "\r\n".

    For example:
    "blarg blarg\r\nblah blah"

    Becomes:
    "blarg blarg\r\n"
    "blah blah"

  • It also happened on Visual Studio 2010 (express) and windows 7 SDK. It's not a problem to shorten the line but I like to keep the original code.
