upgrading Glade/Gtk+, Request for Advice

  • Richard

Hi, I'd like to ask for some advice.

I'm working on a project in Dev-C++ for windows using quite an old version of
Glade. I have the gtk-2.10.11-win32-1 runtime installed on all the target
computers and I'm using Glade 2.12.1 to develop an app to automate a task
    involving serial comms.
I have the gtk-dev-2.10.11-win32-1 dev package installed on my PC.

So far I haven't had any major issues, I have been able to get the interface
    to do what I need.

My question is this: Should I be looking to upgrade my project to something
more current, ie. Glade 3.7 and / or Gtk Builder? I really don't know how much
work or time this would involve as I haven't looked into any of the new
features. Is there any importance or reason for me to get up to date if I can
    do what I need now?
