Hello Erik,
I would like to inform you that GKrellM-gkfreq plugin does not work properly under intel_pstate driver enabled as default on the new kernels (3.9.). Driver intel_pstate is for modern Intel Core iX, Sandy Bridge processors and which contains options "performance" and "powersave" only. In the program gkrellm with gkfreq plugin is still shown 0 MHz. If in grub line is intel_pstate=disabled to enable acpi-cpufreq driver, then everything is ok. Maybe GKrellM-gkfreq plugin needs to be modified for intel_pstate driver.

Thank you!

    ADD: the actual frequencies under intel_pstate driver can be watched by command:
    $ watch grep \"cpu MHz\" /proc/cpuinfo

    Version 2.3 is now released which is reading CPU frequency from /proc/cpuinfo instead of /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq that I was reading from before.

    If reading from /proc/cpuinfo excludes someone else, please tell me. But I guess /proc/cpuinfo is the most general of the two.
