I just upgraded my pitiful Pentium 133 server from
2.4.1 to 2.4.16 and mii-diag now reports all 0s for
the mii registers. It was okay with 2.4.1.
I tried 2.4.7 and it was reporting all zeros there as
well. Has anyone else seen this?bulkoboy

Did you use your own compiled mii-diag from
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gkernel/8139too-0.9.22a.tar.gz
or did you use the standard one?

You probably have to compile your own.

Using Debian here and the included mii-diag also show only
    0s.

This problem is fixed in the latest version of the driver. You
can download the driver from the download section on this
    SourceForge web page.
