Really folks, I've been trying for weeks to figure this one out. Mac OS 10.6.8, X11 installed from Install DVD. GIMP opens when launched. But nothing happens when you click "Open" in the file directory, no dialog at all. You CAN create a new image, but you CAN'T save it; you can go to the finder and right click on an image and select open with GIMP and the image will load and you can edit, but you can't save it, save as, save as copy, nothing.
I would really appreciate some ideas here. GIMP runs fine on my other iMac with same system, just not this one. I've been the rounds with Disk Utility to repair disk, permissions, everything I can think of.
Ideas? Please?
