#12 A newly created folder is not shown in "save as" dialog

Ingo Schaefer

Using the latest version provided for Tiger (2.6.6):

When saving an image to file, there is a "Create Folder" option in the dialog.

If a new folder within the current directory is created with this button, the
directory content is not refreshed, so the new created folder is not seen by
the user.

One has to explicitely leave the current folder and enter it again to see this
created folder.

The GIMP developers say, it is not their fault ...

Maybe it is no problem, if anyone would provide a 2.6.7 version with newer gtk+ libs for 10.4.11?

  • yes, the Tiger version (2.6.6) is just a bit outdated and doesn't use the latest libs.

    I'm currently working on a separate Snow Leopard 64-bit build and on new Help packages. Another task I had to manage in the last few weeks, was to port the build system to MacPorts 1.8. (and some other internal changes too.)
    Now most of that's done and I think I will find some time to go back to Tiger and update the packages to GIMP 2.6.7 and get the libraries (gtk, cairo, pango) back in sync with the Leopard and Snow Leopard builds.

  • ...besides some issues with the Snow Loepard and Leopard versions, I'm working on an update for Tiger systems.

    Please be patient. I will release an update for Tiger users too, although this is somehow of a, let's say, minor priority to me.

    • priority: 5 --> 3
  • Tiger is updated now and uses some newer GTK+ libs.

    • status: open --> closed-fixed
